It was 10 years ago this month that Jesus flipped my world upside down during my first InterVarsity camp experience. 20 other students and I created a list of the characteristics of Jesus that we had seen in scripture during our week long intensive study of the gospel of Mark. Our staff leader Jamie turned to us and said with conviction, ‘Isn’t Jesus AMAZING?!’ My entire being was captivated anew in that moment by this Jesus. I came into college in love with Jesus, but this Jesus was even bigger and better than I had ever dreamed of or anticipated.
10 years later, I am still captivated and amazed by Jesus. My picture of Him is still expanding. Now, I get to have a front row seat leading the next generation as Jesus flips their world’s upside down!
Yet again this year, Jesus revealed Himself to students during camp. Students’ picture of God and the life that He has for them is being transformed and expanded right in front of my eyes. Alvernia students are re-energized to help their friends know Jesus back on campus. Jesus is in the process of calling future leaders and developing future world changers!

In addition to scripture study, there was daily worship, 3 times of teaching during the week, AND campus time!!! During campus time, all 14 Alvernia students gathered around our vision (Transformed, Together, To Go Out) and thought about how God is calling us to respond in mission together!! |

Oh by the way, we had tons of fun together! (especially on the BLOB!!)
Thank you so much for enabling camp to happen!
